風のつくる風景 — 鳥取砂丘 / A Landscape Shaped by the Wind — Tottori Sand Dunes

ふと思い立って、鳥取へ。

久しぶりに訪れた鳥取砂丘。

風が描いた砂の模様も、雲のかたちも、次に来るときにはきっと違うものになっている。

果てしなく続くような砂の斜面を、人々がそれぞれの歩幅で登っていく。

見慣れない風景の中にいると、普段とは少し違った時間が流れているように感じます。

何をするでもなく、ただ風景を眺める。

そんな時間も、たまにはいいものです。

On a whim, I went to Tottori.

Back at the Tottori Sand Dunes after a long time away.

The patterns the wind has drawn in the sand, and the shapes of the clouds, will surely be different the next time I come.

People climb the seemingly endless sandy slopes, each with their own stride.

In an unfamiliar landscape, time seems to flow a little differently from the everyday.

Doing nothing in particular, just looking at the scenery.

It is nice to spend some time like that now and then.
